Students in 10th through 12th grade can elect to take an advanced
"Cardio-Technology - Fitness for Life" physical education class that meets
2 to 3 times a week for 85 minutes in one semester. During each class, the
students wear Polar heart rate monitors while participating in a variety
of activities. Depending on the activity, target rates are changed by the students. Students download daily data in their file and evaluate their
fitness performance. This course includes, cooperative learning
activities, challenge activities as well as individual and team sports.
