One year of Physical Education
is required in Indiana. Therefore, most of the students exposed to the
TriFIT system are 9th graders.
Once the students have
completed the assessment, volunteers are called in to enter the information
into the TriFIT System. Students are assessed at the beginning of the
year and again at the end of the year.
In the PE 9 curriculum,
the students study and are tested on each of the five TriFIT Assessment
components:
- Biometrics
- Body Composition
- Strength
- Flexibility
- Cardiovascular
Two weeks are spent
on each of the components and instructors provide notebooks (workbooks)
of these sections to each of the students.
After the students are
assessed at the end of the year, the students are provided with their
Pre and Post test results and are given their exit exam which requires
the student to write their own Exercise and Nutritional program using
their Personal Profile as a resource.
