Choose two target heart rates. One heart rate is a low end of their zone, the other is a high end. When the students reach the target rate, they must go to a different activity. For example; 2 v 2 mini soccer, using pass goals. Students are asked to play this activity until reaching a given rate (175). Once reaching that rate, they must move to a station skill activity. The children now stay at the skill activity until their rate drops to the lower target (125) or 30 bpms. When the students reach 125, they return to 2 v 2 and challenge a new group. This cycle is ongoing and each time a new skill should be tried. The object is to keep students moving, without over elevating the heart rate. This could be done with any sport activity by selecting appropriate zones.
