Objective: Students will learn one method of testing aerobic activity for heart recovery.
(Aerobic fitness indicates the heart’s ability to recover from exercise and is a sign of fitness.)
Procedure:
- Students will put heart monitor on and receive a handout for the activity.
- Working independently, students will record their heart rate after each activity.
- Students will record their heart rate on the graph paper.
- Discussion on heart rate recovery will follow the completion of the graphing.
- There should be a cool down activity after the lesson.
- Instructor should look for or be aware of any safety issues in the gym.
- Students should be given their own personal space for this activity.
